My own journey.

I was a nationally competitive gymnast as a teenager. Then I went to college, then medical school and then residency. Throw two kids and a busy career as a physician into the mix PLUS turning 40 (hello, perimenopause!) and I was struggling with managing stress, eating and exercising regularly.

Then the pandemic happened…and like a lot of people, I gained 10-20lbs.

So what worked for me?

A combination of:

  • biohacking my sleep and stress levels (love my Oura Ring and Calm and Moshi apps)

  • low carb and high protein diet and to avoid fasting too long (based on my own medical history)

  • lifting HEAVY weights 2-3 days a week and getting in as many 7,00010,000 step days as possible

  • taking semaglutide (I only needed a low dose)

Please note that this was MY personalized plan that worked for ME. It took time to figure this out, a lot of people supporting me, and a lot of perseverance and mindfulness. I am still on my journey, today…
